There is an importance in using/making lesson plans an unit plans
Group and individual learning

Lots of visuals, posters, and various colors in the classroom help with learning
Building relationships
Everyone has their own story (good and bad)
Everyone has a large imagination to explore
Learning and understanding about new topics
As a teacher it is my job to notice my students and the changes in the classroom
In creating a safe learning environment
